The time has finally come to vote for the geeky pickup line that you like best. Whether you interpret "best" to mean "it would work on me!" or "best effort" or something else entirely is your prerogative.

There are five options in the poll below, culled from some 29 submissions that rolled in over the last week. Thanks to everyone who participated. The pickup lines generated a lot of smiles, Facebook "likes," and maybe even some dates. (Write and tell us if you used one successfully!)

Happy voting:

You all missed the pickup line that was actually TRIED on me and my fellow Simmons friends by numerous MIT freshmen during R0 week in the mid-70s.

"Did you know that x% of Simmons women marry an MIT man?"

This was the worst line ever and 100% unsuccessful. The percentage number went up as the week progressed AND we compared the numbers that we heard at all the different parties.

Man,

You missed a whole bunch of good ones...

"May I get access to your firewall?"
"I'd like to ping your ports".
"If you were a server, I'd kill for root access"

But the derivative isn't tangent! It only gives the *slope* of the tangent line.

For MIT students, surely we can do better!
