Who doesn't enjoy a good MIT homepage design and scouring the image for the Where's Waldo-esque MIT hidden within? Well, crafting the daily delights takes some work. Some of the designs are submitted by members of the MIT community and others are created by the homepage spotlight team. Now, find out what kind of research goes into these creations by subscribing to the homepage team's Twitter feed, which pegs itself as "A compendium of interesting and wonderful oddities tangentially related to the inner workings of the MIT homepage design process."

You'll discover some interesting online finds, such as nanobamas (shown), microscopic faces of Barack Obama made using nanotechnology, and wee planets, 360°x180° panoramas projected to look like small planets using a projection called stereographic projection.
