Now That's a Hat

If your headwear has been a bit drab these days, take a look at what you could be sporting: an audio-modulated dual resonant solid state Tesla coil hat. It was designed by Tyler Christensen '14, who calls it a failed Halloween costume. But who needs a fancy holiday to wear (or invent) a hat this awesome?

Check out video of his pre-Halloween test run, from which, sadly, the hat did not recover. But on his blog, TC-Engineering, about playing with high voltage, Christensen vows to return to the design in February.
