The 2024 Tech Challenge Games

The Tech Challenge Games are the most interesting and eclectic collection of MIT-inspired games you will ever encounter. Founded by alumni for alumni, the Games have become an integral and exciting part of reunion weekend.

5th—50th reunion classes are invited to assemble a team which can consist of classmates, spouses, friends, and children. Each team participates in a series of exciting MIT-style games designed for all ages.

Congratulations 2024 Winners: Class of 1984!

During the 2024 Tech Reunions, classes competed in advance to earn points for their team by participating in the Poetry Contest, the Photo Contest, and the Estimation Challenge! The question is: How many Brass Rat paperweights are in the aquarium?

Answer: 311

A glass aquarium is filled with display-size brass rat ring paperweights. A tape measure shown alongside the bottom of the container indicates the aquarium is 20 inches long. The width of the container is not shown but appears to be less than half the length. The rings are loosely arranged and fill to a level about 3 or 4 inches from the top. The size of the paperweights is unclear, but they appear to be of uniform size, each somewhere between 2 and 3 inches in diameter. A brass rat ring is also shown outside the aquarium. The aquarium will be at Steinbrenner Stadium during the Tech Challenge Games from 2-3:30pm.
