Where do these lists and methodology come from, you ask? QS Quacquarelli Symonds was founded in 1990 and is a global provider of specialist higher education and careers information and solutions.
QS launched the World University Rankings in 2004, originally in cooperation with the Times Higher Education Supplement. That partnership ended after 2009 and now the list is called the QS World University Rankings, which are published online and by media partners worldwide, including US News and World Report as the World's Best Universities.
