New Popular Science TV Show to Showcase MIT Research

Starting this evening, Popular Science hits the small screen with the TV show PopSci's Future Of, airing Mondays at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on the Science Channel. Through interviews with maverick scientists and explorations of prototypes, each episode examines how one important characteristic of human life will fundamentally change within our lifetimes. And at least one of the first two episodes (on superhumans and play) will feature Media Lab research.
According to host Baratunde Thurston's Twitter feed, they shot "LOTS of segments" (emphasis his) in Boston. I'm speculating here, but I'll venture to say some more of that cutting-edge Boston work has MIT ties.
And, yet another (non-Boston-related) Twitter post mentions filming the Terrafugia Transition, the flying car created by Carl Dietrich ’99, SM ’03, PhD ’07. Be sure to set your DVR.

I'm going to have to check now to see if we get the science channel, not sure, but it sounds wonderful. All the educational info I've been missing out on may be a bummer. Will have to check out the media lab siftables. YOu've got my curiousity peeked now :)
