MIT Ranked No. 2 University by US News for 2024

The results are in! US News & World Report released its 2024 Best US Colleges rankings for undergraduate education this week, and MIT placed second overall among national universities.

The Institute ranked first for undergraduate engineering programs, a position it has held for many years. MIT garnered the top spot for computer science programs and economics (tied with multiple schools) as well as second in business programs (tied with the University of California at Berkeley). The Institute also placed first in 5 out of 10 engineering disciplines and first in 4 out of 10 computer science disciplines. 

In addition, MIT recently earned the first spot in the QS World University Rankings for the 12th consecutive year.
