The third annual HUBweek festival takes place around Boston October 10–15 and the schedule is already taking shape. In addition to details released earlier this summer, which include a stacked lineup of speakers and a new headquarters in Downtown Boston, festival organizers have released more information on this year’s events, projects, and locations.

The HUB, the festival’s headquarters located at Boston City Hall, will feature dozens of art installations, more than 60 shipping containers hosting live performances, and four massive geodesic domes that will transform each night through projections and performance.

Read more details about the HUB headquarters below then visit the HUBweek website for more information. Three-day passes to Future Forum, the festival's lecture and discussion series, are now available.

  • October 12–14 at the HUB will feature Immersion, an evening arts experience featuring the percussionist trio Masary Studios, who will perform “Brutal Rhythm,” an original work that will incorporate the architecture around City Hall Plaza.
  • The immersive swissnex Dome will feature nightly 360 degree digital, visual, and sound performances.
  • A nearly 50’ dome will transform to a concert hall atmosphere and performances will include a 12-person jam bad, a live DJ silent disco party, and a transnational bass party.
  • A selection of artists will perform and project moving artwork directly on City Hall.
  • The HUB’s shipping containers will feature scheduled presentations and pop-up performances by photographers, painters, musicians, and stage actors.
