NoFrizz—Bioengineering Tackles Everyday Problems

Legendary bioengineer Robert Langer ScD '74, an MIT Institute Professor, and his scientific team have created a company, Living Proof, to put innovations like polyfluoroester, the molecule that is the basis of a new line of products, to work on ordinary problems. The first product, NoFrizz, won Allure magazine's Beauty Breakthrough award last fall and is for sale on QVC and at Sephora cosmetics stores.

"We try to figure out things that make people have happy and healthier lives," says Langer in a Boston Globe article. "I felt if we can make people happier in other ways, that's good too."
