Working and Volunteering
Make Connections, Earn Extra Cash—or Both
Each year, nearly 100 students work for the MIT Alumni Association with positions with the Tech Reunions team, the Annual Fund, and the Tech Caller Program. Many students also volunteer. Get involved and get paid for it with the Association's student job opportunities, or take advantage of invaluable networking opportunities as a student volunteer.
Job Opportunities
Become a Tech Caller
The MIT Tech Caller Program is comprised of paid undergraduate and graduate student callers who contact MIT alumni, parents, and friends on behalf of MIT. Tech Callers solicit donations for the Institute, field questions about MIT, thank donors for past support, and exchange stories with alumni about MIT life. The program operates year-round, and offers a fun atmosphere and flexible work hours. Interested students should apply online.
Work Tech Reunions
Earn some cash before leaving for the summer, and get extended housing until the end of Tech Reunions. Students work with thousands of returning alumni and guests as part of MIT's Tech Reunions in early June. Students can apply for either a Registration and Check-in or Kid Tech Counselor staff position. For more information, please contact Elise Perkins.
Assist Annual Giving Office Staff
Be one of four students per year providing general office support to the Institute's Annual Giving Office. Contact the Annual Giving for more information or to learn of current openings.
Volunteer Opportunities
Join the Student Alumni Association
Student Ambassadors are a group of undergraduate students dedicated to the positive promotion of MIT. They volunteer to serve as a liaison between the current MIT student community and two other important groups: alumni and prospective students. Interested students should contact Henrietta Ford of the Alumni Relations Office.
Become a Student Philanthropy Committee Member
It is a collaborative, cross-class initiative in which MIT students like you can make gifts to the areas of the Institute that resonate with your MIT experience. Whether it's to a program, department, student group, scholarships, student life, or unrestricted, your gift can have a transformative impact. Join with students across all years to give back to the organizations, groups, and programs that make our MIT experience so meaningful. Interested students should contact the Annual Giving Office.
