Burton-Conner TetrisWhat do residents of Burton-Conner do when they tire of playing Dance Dance Revolution? They turn the DDR mats into the controllers for a six-foot-tall game of Tetris illuminated by LED lights.

Obviously.

Two players can go head-to-head in this version, created by computer science and engineering majors Leah Alpert '13 and Russell Cohen '13 with the hardware designed by mechanical engineering major Andrew Carlson '12. The color kinetic LEDs in laser-cut acrylic tubes are set in chip-board matrix. And what's even better, they've shared the code so you can create your own installation. The game recently received press on Engadget and on the Rolling Stone blog.
