An MIT Alumni Association Publication

You know that MIT alumni are out there bringing their innovations to market and changing the world. Indeed, MIT alumni-founded companies have generated jobs and revenues equal to a medium-sized country. But there's never been a definitive resource cataloging all of these endeavors. Until now.

Enter the Digital Shingle Project from the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship (formerly called the MIT Entrepreneurship Center).

The site aims to serve as a vetted, comprehensive directory of every company (currently active or not) founded by an MIT alum. More than just a list, the Digital Shingle Project will be a valuable resource for members of the Institute community looking for inspiration, seeking networking opportunities, or hoping to support fellow MITers. Filters allow visitors to sort the companies by course number, industry, headquarter location, and more.

But the site is still in beta mode, and needs alumni support. Enhance the database by adding your own company or sharing updates or additions to those already listed.

Site administrators welcome comments and ideas for improvement, as well. Future planned enhancements include a login feature with access to update your own listings, pages for individual entrepreneurs with links to their companies, and inspiring stories of how alumni began their businesses that might prove especially useful to up-and-coming entrepreneurs.
