Navigating Campus

We want you to feel comfortable and confident as you move around campus during Tech Reunions. Here’s what you need to know about getting around, finding places to rest, and making the most of your time at MIT.

  • Plan Ahead–MIT’s campus is large and spread out, with reunion activities taking place in multiple locations. We encourage you to plan so you can move at a comfortable pace.
  • Comfortable Footwear–We recommend wearing supportive, comfortable shoes to ensure an enjoyable experience.
  • Time Between Events–It can be helpful to allow extra time to transition between locations, so you can move at your own pace and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.

If you have specific mobility or accessibility needs, please be sure to let us know when registering, and reach out to us in advance at reunions@mit.edu so we can assist in making your reunion experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Transportation & Shuttle Options

We’ve arranged several transportation options to help you get where you need to go:

  • MIT Tech Shuttle -- MIT’s free Tech Shuttle runs through campus, making it easier to reach different event locations without walking long distances. Read more.
  • Tech Night at Pops Bus Service --Buses will be available to take alumni to and from Symphony Hall for the Tech Night at Pops concert. Cardinal & Gray alumni in a reunion year will have dedicated early bus transportation to Symphony Hall for class dinners, and there will be a pick-up location in front of the Hyatt Regency Cambridge for ease of transportation. For more information, please visit the Tech Night at Pops page.

Visit the Navigating Campus page for more information.

Places to Rest & Connect

We understand that taking breaks is important, and we’ve made sure there are plenty of comfortable spaces for you to relax and recharge.

  • Reunion Check-In and Registration & Lounge–A welcoming space where you can take a break, grab a coffee, and reconnect with fellow alumni at the Stratton Student Center.
  • The MIT Alumni Lounge–Located at 10-100, next to Lobby 10 and steps away from the entrance to Killian Court, this alumni-only space is centrally located and packed with snacks for Reunion. Read more.
  • Seating Areas Across Campus–There are plenty of seating areas throughout MIT where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the surroundings.

We want to make your return to MIT as easy and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns or questions about getting around, our team is happy to help!
