During this session, Megan Strosnider, Assistant Director of MIT Alumni Career Programs will guide you through the many career resources that they have available for all MIT alumni.

Celebrate Star Wars Day at the MIT Club of DC Annual Meeting & Picnic!  At this event, MITDC members and their guests can relax with fellow alumni, enjoy good food, play lawn games, and vote for next year's MITDC board while enjoying the beautiful view of the Potomac River. Attendees will also have an opportunity to win fun raffle prizes.  As it is Star Wars Day, the grand prize will be a Lego Millennium Falcon Set!

Lunch is included in this event. The menu includes: Pesto Baked Salmon, Pulled Chicken BBQ + buns, Roasted Seasonal Vegetables, Baked Beans, Corn on the Cob, Potato Salad, Fresh Fruit, Cookies, Lemonade and Iced Tea. Acoholic drinks may be purchased at the Island Time Bar and are the responsibility of the attendee.

This event is for dues paying members. Not a member?  No worries!  We have bundled tickets + discounted membership tickets at checkout.  Discounts for MIT10 are also available. Partners may attend for free.

Join the MIT Club of New York for a guided bird walk in Prospect Park! The spring migration is a prime time of urban birding in New York City and the open oasis of Prospect Park attracts myriad migrant visitors to join its resident birds. Explore the park and discover its wildlife with your fellow alums and naturalist Gabriel Willow.

The walk will last two hours. Participants should bring their own binoculars (highly recommended). Each alum is welcome to register up to three guests; children who can manage the walk are welcome.

Join the MIT Club of New York for a private, curated tour of The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s exceptional collection, exploring fashion through the ages and what garments can tell us about the cultures that created it. This tour explores clothing represented in paint, stone, wood, and other media found across the Museum’s collections.

There will be 2 tours: one starting at 12:00 PM; the second starting at 1:15 PM.

We currently only have space for the tour at 1:15 PM.

After the tour, there will be a hangout at the Met Rooftop bar to chat with fellow alums.

Alum Dr. Gil Blankenship, '67, SM '69, PhD '71, will share some stories about what he has learned while starting companies that make hardware. There will be networking time and a chance for you to pitch your company.

Hosted in collaboration by the MDC Studio, a startup studio dedicated to building medical technology companies from the ground up, and Henry M Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF), attendees will get a chance to learn about the new HJF Innovation Ecosystem, empowering the development and commercialization of military medical innovations.

Come and discover local resources and support for device innovations, pitch your ideas (no experience needed!), and mingle with innovators, experts, and future collaborators while enjoying light refreshments and drinks!

The program also includes the long-awaited return of King’s Scheherazade, a reimagining of the ancient One Thousand and One Nights, featuring a mesmerizing score by Grammy-winning tabla master Zakir Hussain. With LINES Ballet’s exquisite dancers bringing these works to life, the season promises an immersive experience of artistic innovation and transformative storytelling.

The MIT Club of Northern California (MIT-CNC) invites you to Tango Saturdays—an inspiring series of Argentine Tango classes and live music events designed to awaken your creativity, deepen connection, and foster community. Whether you're stepping onto the dance floor for the first time or looking to refine your skills, this program offers a warm, inclusive environment to explore the art of tango.

All events take place at a beautiful home art studio in Palo Alto (1680 Bryant Street), where you'll enjoy small class sizes and an inviting space designed to support your learning and creativity, supplemented by an online space at the MIT Dancers LinkedIn Group.

About the Lead Instructor

Karn Verma is a passionate dance instructor specializing in Argentine tango and Cross Step Waltz, with roots in social dance from Stanford and professional training in Buenos Aires and Rome. He has taught at venues like Stanford’s Bechtel Center, Friday Night Waltz, and the Oshman Family JCC. In 2022, he founded Feeling Flow, a school that blends dance, meditation, and community through events like live music milongas and structured tango series. Outside of dance, Karn works in tech and healthcare innovation and practices Zen and Japanese tea ceremony.

Other Dances?

Waltz Foundations I and II will be offered at the Menlo Park Community Center from April 9 to April 23. These three-week series are a great way to build or deepen your waltz skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Waltz Foundations I is ideal for beginners, while Waltz Foundations II is designed for dancers with some prior experience, both can be taken simultaneously. (enrollment is through the City of Menlo Park).

Spots are limited—reserve early to guarantee your place.
