Calling all adventurous eaters! Kimi Ceridon (Class of 2001) has opened Life Love Cheese's first brick-and-mortar location in Wakefield and she's excited to share all things cheese with fellow MIT alums. Join her for an in-store Cheese Tasting and Wine Sampling workshop on Thursday May 1, 2025 at 6:30 PM.
For this tasting workshop with wine sampling, we will explore some of Kimi's favorite flavorful, pungent and, yes, delicious cheeses for a full-flavored sensory experience. Along the way, you'll learn what makes each of these cheeses so very special. Cheese has an incredible range of flavors for something made only of milk, salt, enzymes, cultures and mold. And, all of the cheeses are made right here in America. Life Love Cheese specializes in American-made, primarily New England, artisanal cheeses - high quality cheeses that come from small producers.
Indulge in a unique experience, learn about the art of cheese pairing and discover new flavor combinations that will tantalize your taste buds.
Come ready to enjoy great company, delicious cheese and wine, and unforgettable flavors. Don't miss out on this opportunity to expand your palate and have a fantastic time. See you there!

Join us for a ~4.5 mile hike in the West part of the Middlesex FELLS Reservation. Located ~10 miles from MIT, the FELLS Reservation is a natural treasure, offering beautiful sceneries and providing an important drinking water supply for many residents north of Boston.
The Fells Reservation spans ~2,200-acres that include a diverse landscape of forest, wetlands, and hills, something all too rare in our urban/suburban landscape. This range of habitat sustains a variety of wildlife including mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds.
Approximate Trail Map
Our trail will loop around the FELLS North Reservoir along wooded areas with a mildly undulating terrain, offering frequent vistas of both North and Middle Reservoirs. We will have a brief lunch break at one of the scenic points, so, please bring a sandwich or snack and drinking water.
The expected start-to-end duration is 2 to 2.5 hours depending on weather and ground-surface conditions. The final trail will be selected closer to the hiking date, adapted to updated hike-day weather conditions and expected trail-surface conditions.
A detailed map of the Middlesex Fells Reservation may be found at:
https://www.mass.gov/doc/middlesex-fells-reservation-trail-map/download

Please join us for a FREE Boston Seminar Series event co-hosted with Koch Institute
Cancer treatments kill tumor cells—does it really matter how?
Cells can die or signal injury via several different biological processes or pathways, and research increasingly suggests that the particular mechanism activated by a cancer therapy can significantly affect treatment outcomes.
Join us as Koch Institute researchers explain how they are leveraging specific cell injury and cell death pathways to take out tumors using new approaches to improve immunotherapy response and target aggressive, metastatic cancer cells.
