Join MIT Architecture Alumni and friends from across the New York Metro Region in a social gathering to be held at Dattner Architects, a mission-driven, women-owned design firm.

The event is graciously hosted by Richard Dattner '60, who will make a brief presentation of the principles by which his practice has been leading public, civic and mixed-use projects for over 60 years. 

We will meet from 6-8pm at 498 Seventh Ave (corner W.37^th St.), 20^th Floor. Refreshments will be provided.

There is no cost to attend, but registration is limited so please sign up so your name will be at the entrance desk.

Learn More 2025-05-14 22:30:00 2025-05-15 00:30:00 UTC Hartford Stage Tour May 14, 2025     If you have ever attended a production at the Hartford Stage Company you know how fortunate Connecticut is to have this theatrical gem. The Hartford Stage Company is one of the most acclaimed regional theaters in the country. It has hosted world premiers of several plays that have gone on to be huge successes on Broadway, including Anastasia, Marvin’s Room, and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Now you will have an opportunity to go behind the scenes and see how it is all done.   On May 14, 2025 at 6:30 p.m., the MIT Club of Hartford and New London will host a behind the scenes tour of the Hartford Stage Company. We will see everything that goes into a production, including set design and construction, lighting, props, costuming, and much more. The tour will be conducted by the Hartford Stage Company staff. We are currently waiting on word to see if Melia Bensussen, Artistic Director of the Hartford Stage Company, will join us. Following the tour the Club will host a reception with light snacks in the theater’s upper lobby. This is one event you surely do not want to miss. • The Senckenberg Natural History Museum has been highly recommended by one of our alums for both adults and children 
• If the Senckenberg isn't quite your style, you have 38 more museums to choose from -- all part of the Museumsufer Frankfurt (although not all are directly on the riverbank) representing nationally and internationally important museums and art galleries  
• Römerberg, the heart of the medieval "Altstadt" is always worth a visit, even though the beautiful half-timber buildings you view today are mostly reconstructed
• Palmengarten, the Frankfurt Botanical Garden, is likely to be an exceptional draw with the typically-mild temperatures of late May

For those of you who haven't experienced Signal yet -- it's a digital and creative culture festival. Combining contemporary visual art, urban space, and modern technology, Signal is the most-attended cultural event in the Czech Republic.
