This is a first in person event to catalyze conversations between Association of MIT Alumnae (AMITA) members and current MIT graduate students. This is an opportunity to network and self-assemble into groups to discuss topics of interest such as navigating turbulent times and finding the right job after MIT.

Bring your own coffee/tea and join us for some delicious baked goods (including GF), nuts and fruit.

Join Us for a Springtime Jog & Brunch in the Wissahickon

Feeling a little sore after the Broad Street Run? Or simply looking for a beautiful spring morning outdoors?

Come join us for a leisurely 5-mile jog along the scenic Wissahickon Valley Park gravel trail. We'll enjoy the gentle hills, river views, and fresh air together.

Afterwards we'll head to a nearby brunch spot to refuel and chat.

• Distance: Approximately 5 miles
• Terrain: Wide, well-maintained gravel trail
• Pace: Social and relaxed – all paces welcome!
• Weather: Rain or shine
• Parking: Plenty of free and easily accessible parking nearby.
• Brunch: Post-run brunch at a local spot.

AMITA extends congratulations to MIT 50th Reunion Alumnae

In 2008, the The Association of MIT Alumnae Board of Directors voted to honor 50th Reunion Alumnae with a gray scarf to accompany their red jackets. "We hope this will be a good, and more stylish, substitute for the men’s grey and cardinal striped freshman ties!" (2008).  

AMITA welcomes all women & their families who are celebrating their 50th Reunion to attend the scarf ceremony.

We look forward to welcoming you all back to campus and celebrating this milestone with you.

Come mingle with old and new friends at the Association of MIT Alumnae (AMITA) reunion weekend brunch. There will be some fun icebreaker activities and information about AMITA, but the main goal is to eat and have some time together. This event is open to all who identify as women.

Join us for a panel discussion hearing from three MIT and MIT Sloan alumni on their experiences on the popular American television show, Shark Tank. Our panel will discuss their ventures, being on the show negotiating with the sharks, and running their businesses after the show. 

This is a great opportunity to learn more about this unique experience and support MIT founders.

Panelists:

Mollie (Chung) Cha, co-founded plant-based food and beverage brand Must Love (formerly known as Hakuna Brands), with her best friend from college. She is based in Los Angeles, CA. Mollie graduated with her M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Mollie appeared on Shark Tank in January 2022. You can watch the 9 mins video clip here. 

Kelly McGee, co-founded sports equipment and lifestyle brand Yardsale. He is based in San Francisco, CA. Kelly graduated with his S.B. in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design from MIT.

Amrita Saigal founded sustainable diaper manufacturer Kudos. She is based in Los Angeles, CA. Amrita graduated with her S.B. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Asha Aravindakshan, MIT Sloan Fellow MBA ‘17

Asha Aravindakshan (@dcasha) is the COO of GlobalGiving and the author of Skills: The Common Denominator, which highlights true stories of transferable skills for career success. Previously, she streamlined business operations to maximize accountability, growth and strategic alignment for public and private stakeholders.

Asha serves on the Board of Directors for MIT Sloan Club of New York, the Alumni Leadership Council for Forté, and as a Venture Partner for Verve Ventures. She’s presented at conferences in the Americas and is the recipient of awards on digital transformation and future of work. Asha studied business at The George Washington University and MIT Sloan School of Management. 

She is an avid Shark Tank viewer and purveyor of the show’s products.

The Business Meeting will be held on June 7th following the 2025 Annual Meeting & Keynote Address.  If the Keynote Speaker Address runs late, the Business Meeting's start time will be adjusted.

At our business meeting we will review AMITA’s accomplishments for the academic year, discuss the vision for the future, and will give everyone an opportunity to vote on the new slate of board members.
