MIT Ambassadors

We, as a group of colleagues, are honored and proud to be  MIT ambassadors. We appreciate and celebrate the MIT culture. We have a shared interest in the work of the Institute beyond the work of the Alumni Association. We are committed to representing and working in partnership with alumni who have had a significant and measurable impact on society in the interest of making the world a better place. We embrace and delight in the distinctive, global MIT community. 

Industrious Work Ethic

We, as a group of colleagues, believe in the value of collaborative work with an industrious work ethic. We are dedicated to a thoughtful process and to a final product that aligns with alumni interests and MIT’s mission. We support one another and work with integrity through respectful, open, and honest interactions. We value tenacity, creativity, curiosity, flexibility, and not being afraid to fail. We strive to be best in class, in alignment with the exceptional alumni constituency. 

Human Dignity

We, as a group of colleagues, believe in the value of recognizing and upholding the human dignity of every person. We treat everyone with kindness and respect in accordance with the RD/Alumni Association’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Compact Statement. In all of our interactions with colleagues and alumni, we assume positive intent and demonstrate empathy. We acknowledge and affirm our differing personal and professional strengths and struggles. We share in the responsibility of identifying and confronting challenges to the dignity of ourselves and others to create a welcoming and inclusive office environment. This value serves as the foundation for  all of our relationships. 

Work-Life Balance

We, as a group of colleagues, believe in the value of work-life balance in order to bring our best selves to the workplace. We enhance the workplace environment by keeping work in perspective, being able to laugh at oneself, finding enjoyment in one’s job, and pursuing projects and tasks with passion and a positive attitude. We believe in flexibility and empowering staff to be mindful of breaking from work in  a responsible manner, when needed. We value work-life balance, which  is an essential component of sustaining high work standards and supports care of self.
