*Associate Member: An individual who has participated in non-degree-granting special and joint programs that meet time and admission criteria as determined by the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Examples of those programs are: Post-Doctoral Scholars, HST (Harvard/MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology), MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program, Knight Fellows Program, Whitehead Post-Doctoral Association, SPURS (Special Program for Urban and Regional Studies), and the Cambridge-MIT Exchange Program.

*Affiliate Status: An individual who has participated in a special program that has a formal connection with an MIT academic program that has been recognized by an MIT department, the dean and/or the provost. The program must have enrolled students for at least one year. Examples of those programs are: MIT-China Management Education Project, SKK GSB MBA Program - Sungkyunkwan University Graduate School of Business and the MIT Sloan Visiting Fellows Program.

*Parent of MIT Student: Parent of a current undergraduate or graduate student.

*Enterprise Forum: Current member of an MIT Enterprise Forum chapter.

*Friend: Supporter of the Institute.
