What
computer resources do I need to use
the
Individual
Information Program Package?
-
Web Access:
The
Delila Server
provides limited web access to the programs.
The server may do what you want, in which case it is much easier.
However it is not anywhere near as powerful as using
the tools directly.
- Programs are supplied in two forms:
- Sun Sparc Binaries.
These will only work on Sun Microsystem computers!
HOWEVER
Sun binaries are not provided anymore.
OR
- Pascal Source code.
You will have to compile the programs for your computer system.
Linux and Mac OS X will work.
See the
delila web page
for more information about compiling.
I would recommend that you at least compile
the test.p program
before proceeding.
When writing up your application
please specify whether you need source code.
-
Output: Delila programs produce ascii output and PostScript graphics.
You will need:
- A PostScript viewer such as Ghostview
AND
- A PostScript printer (prefereably in
color)
Output from the web server is provided in PostScript, PDF,
ascii, and gif forms.
For information about how to obtain these programs
and
obtain access to the Delila Servers,
there is a detailed online procedure:
