Electron microscope picture of the Lambda bacteriophage.
On the left is an icosahedral head and extending to the
right is a ribbed tail that comes a point in the last 6
ribs. A man sits at a table holding a knife and fork and
staring puzzled and angrily at a plate that has a lambda
phage on it.

Send in your WALS (Wednesday afternoon lecture) nominations for 2024-25
. Lambda lunch collects names, votes for our top choices and nominates
to NIH. This year, Heran Darwin and Nancy Moran came from those
nominations; both also stayed for a lambda lunch. This is great
opportunity to bring wonderful speakers to the NIH. NIH seeks a
diverse group of nominees, who haven't given one of these in the past 5
years.

NOMINATIONS VIA LAMBDA LUNCH DUE BY Dec. 4th. Send to me, preferably
with a sentence or two about why this person would be a great nominee.

Virtual or Hybrid speakers for Lambda Lunch sought for
