Morocco is a land of dramatic contrasts with its lush desert oases, imposing kasbahs, spirited souks, and ancient ruins. Begin in Rabat, Morocco’s modern day capital that is both historic and contemporary. Visit the ancient Roman ruins at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Volubilis and continue to Fez with its fascinating old quarter. Enjoy a private home-hosted dinner and share tea with a local family in a Berber village. Cross the Middle Atlas mountain range to Erfoud for an excursion to the Sahara sand dunes at sunset. Then follow an ancient caravan route in the snow-topped High Atlas Mountains and see spectacular Todra Gorge. Travel to the uninhabited village of Aït-Ben-Haddou, another UNESCO site, en route to Marrakech. Conclude in Casablanca.
