The Galápagos Islands are a mysterious land of wonder, beauty, and the most unusual wildlife found anywhere on Earth. The moment travelers step foot on the first island, they see that freedom and fearlessness are a way of life. Explore this fascinating environment by sea and land. Snorkel among a colony of playful sea lions and colorful tropical fish; paddle a kayak past penguins and sea turtles; and hike across volcanic landscapes dotted with blue-footed boobies, iguanas, and tortoises. A team of expert naturalists will use plankton nets, a video microscope, and underwater video to provide the richest possible understanding of the abundant wildlife. Professor Walker’s talks will focus on the fascinating molecular basis of evolution.
