Reading Guide (PDF)

The landscapes of Botswana are beautiful, and the contrast between them is exciting—one day you will be crossing flat, barren desert in a 4x4 land rover; two days later, you will be gliding through remote waterways and fertile islands in a mokoro, the traditional canoe used in the Okavango Delta. Each morning, the rising sun awakens a new chance for discovery—a new day to witness cheetahs on the hunt, wildebeest grazing on the plains or herds of buffalo gathered around a waterhole; to listen for the calls of exotic birds perched high above; and to discover unusual flora and fauna beyond your imagination.

The itinerary features the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the Okavango Delta. In the Delta, you’ll visit two distinct camps, each revered for its own unique experiences and attractions. Two optional extensions are also available: Cape Town, South Africa, one of the loveliest cities in the world; and legendary Victoria Falls, Zambia. Throughout your trip, enjoy luxurious accommodations that offer incredible access to the surrounding wildlife without sacrificing comfort or style. Leading our safari is one of Southern Africa’s top naturalist guides, Dave Hamman.
