Join MIT travelers on an exploration of the translucent waters of the Indian Ocean which bathe the shores of the 115 tiny granitic and coralline islands that make up the Seychelles. Leading the lecture series is MIT Professor of Atmospheric Science Kerry Emanuel '76, PhD '78. Dr. Emanuel will enhance our understanding of this unique archipelago.

Special Trip Announcements

Inside the Russian Space Program: The itinerary of this very special travel program is timed to be at the Baikonur Cosmodrome to experience and view the manned space launch of the Soyuz.  Currently the new launch date is set for October 12th which is a change from the originally announced launch date.  This change moves the overall tour dates to October 5-15, 2008.  Please see the revised itinerary for full details.
The Skies of the Southern Hemisphere: Chile & the Magellan Project: Please note that the original trip itinerary has been modified for this program.  LAN Airlines recently made major changes to their flight schedules, and we have re-arranged some of our visits and touring in accordance with the new flight times.  All activities included in the original itinerary will still take place, albeit in some cases at a different time than what was published in the brochure.  Please see the itinerary for full details.
