Prepare to apply and don't procrastinate
Students can login with their Infinite Connection account to review the offerings and apply online on September 21, 2011. Consider asking the Careers Office to review your cover letter and resume before you submit your application.
Ensure that you do not miss an email from the Externship Office by adding these addresses to your safe lists: Externship[at]mit[dot]edu
kcasey[at]mit[dot]edu
ebyrne[at]mit[dot]edu
Submissions
Students will login with their Infinite Connection account to submit one PDF document (sorry, no MS Word or text versions) for each externship. This PDF will contain both your cover letter and resume.
- Sponsors will access the applications directly on the online database.
- Once submitted, you may not change or edit your applications.
Students are notified of their student-sponsor match by an email from the Alumni Association during the week of November 14. A second matching round is scheduled the week of November 21. Matched students will then submit a completed waiver (PDF) and attend a required orientation meeting in early December.
The application submission process closed at noon on October 12th, 2011.
