What is Family Weekend?
Family Weekend is a campus-wide event that offers parents a taste of the MIT experience. Meet faculty and staff, connect with fellow families, and discover the vastness of the MIT community while attending open classes, department receptions, athletic events, student performances, and lectures about MIT's advanced research.
Family Weekend 2009
About 1,900 attendees from over 600 families attended Family Weekend 2009. The Parents Association staff had a wonderful time meeting everyone and is already looking forward to Family Weekend 2010. Planning for 2010
On-site registration and check-in open at 8:00 AM on Friday, October 15, and activities begin around 9:00 AM the same day. Most activities on Sunday are student-led and wrap up before noon.
If you're arriving before Friday, there's plenty to do. View the MIT events calendar to see what will be happening on campus.
