What is Family Weekend?
Family Weekend is a campus-wide event that offers parents a taste of the MIT experience. Meet faculty and staff, connect with fellow families, and discover the vastness of the MIT community while attending open classes, department receptions, athletic events, student performances, and lectures about MIT's advanced research.
Planning for 2009
On-site registration and check-in open at 8:00 AM on Friday, October 16, and activities begin at 9:00 AM the same day. Most activities wrap-up by noon on Sunday, though the Parents Association will once again be at the river through the afternoon to cheer on the Engineers in the Head of the Charles Regatta.
Hotels
As soon as you decide to come to Family Weekend, reserve your accommodations. There's a lot going on in Boston/Cambridge in the fall, and rooms fill quickly!
