Wade Roush PhD ′94, former editor for Technology Review and a current editor at Xconomy.com, is doing a cross-country trip to interview a diverse people about how technology affects their lives.
Roush, who is moving from Boston to San Francisco to open a new Xconomy outlet, is vlogging about the trip via World Wide Wade Goes West, including these episodes:
- Mile 971—northern Michigan, where Roush grew up, is the site of Episode III, which includes an high-tech interview with the Wade, the gadget geek, and how his career intertwined science and journalism.
- Episode V introduces Oliver Zhou, a software engineer for a pharmaceutical distributor and healthcare technology provider in Minneapolis, comments on the local technology-and-entrepreneurship scene.
What’s Xconomy? With lots of TR and alumni connections, Xconomy is a media company targeting business and technology innovation.
Roush’s traveling buddy is photographer Graham Gordon Ramsay, program coordinator for MIT’s Experimental Study Group. What’s that? ESG is an alternative academic program that offers small group learning in core freshman subjects.
