Scott Globus '84

Look Familiar? Help Identify MIT Lab Photos

Scott Globus '84 captured thousands of images in 1983 and 1984 of some 80 MIT labs as part of a UROP project. Globus, a physics major and photography buff, wanted to provide a visual ethnography of the lab and a history of science and engineering in the making. He donated his collection to the MIT Museum, which scanned hundreds of images into a digital archive.

A 2006 exhibit of the photos encouraged viewers to contribute any stories, reminiscences, or observations they may have about the pictures. Share your thoughts about the images below on the discussion board provided. Please note the number of the photo you are referring to in your post.
