Affinity groups-organized by ethnicity, gender, or interest-are a vital part of the diverse alumni community. These groups meet to network, socialize, forge connections, and support their members. AACRE: Alumni Association of the Center for Real Estate
AACRE provides networking opportunities and resources to alumni working in the real estate profession.
AMITA: Association of MIT Alumnae
AMITA promotes alumnae accomplishments, maintains connections among alumnae, and supports women on campus.
BAMIT: Black Alumni of MIT
BAMIT brings together alumni of African descent, cultivates their personal and professional development, and supports black MIT students and black communities.
BGALA: Bisexual, Gay and Lesbian Alumni of MIT
BGALA provides a social and professional network for bisexual, gay, and lesbian alumni and works to promote a supportive environment at MIT.
LAMIT: Latino/a Alumni/ae of MIT
LAMIT promotes the professional and personal development of Latino/a and Hispanic alumni/ae, supports current students, and provides outreach to prospective MIT applicants.
MITAAA: MIT Arab Alumni Association
MITAAA unites Arab alumni around the globe through events and coordination with MIT clubs. The group also sponsors periodic Pan Arab conferences.
MITCAA: MIT Crew Alumni Association
MITCAA includes 4,500 former MIT rowers who support the crew program and mentor current student athletes.
MITMAA: MIT Military Alumni/ae Association
MITMAA provides opportunities for MIT alumni in the military to connect to one another, supports the professional and personal development of military alumni/ae, and provides the means for alumni to retain a close relationship ROTC program, fellow alumni/ae, current Cadets and Midshipmen.
MITSAAA: MIT South Asian Alumni Association
MITSAAA connects South Asian alumni with MIT and with each other through educational and social events. The group focuses on alumni who affiliate themselves with Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
