Brass Rat
It's a cocktail party icebreaker and the thing that sparks instant camaraderie at a job interview. It's MIT's distinctive Brass Rat and it's more than just a class ring, but an instantly identifiable badge of fellow alumni. Learn more about the history of the Brass Rat and see bezel designs from decades past.
Need to replace your ring? Contact the appropriate vendor below to see about your particular class's Brass Rat. Balfour/Artcarved keeps the original molds for class rings indefinitely, but other vendors may destroy molds after 10 years. Herff-Jones sells genuine Brass Rats and while the overall design is generic and would not match the design originally chosen by a particular class, class years are displayed. Additionally, MIT Coop Members enjoy a 10% discount through this vendor.
