What are email groups?
Email groups are mailings lists that include fellow alumni with similar interests or affiliations.
How do I subscribe to an email group?
Go to the email groups page. If you know the name of the email group, you can search for it. You also can browse all available groups. Once you find the group, click on it to see the email group details. On the email group details page, you'll have the option to submit a request to join the group or you'll be able to subscribe directly to the group (depending on the group type).
How do I unsubscribe from an email group?
Go to the email groups page. If you are subscribed to any email groups, you will see them listed under Your Subscriptions. In order to unsubscribe, click on the email group name and then click the Unsubscribe link on the email group details page.
How do I determine what groups I'm subscribed to?
Go to the email groups page. If you are subscribed to any email groups, you will see them listed under Your Subscriptions.
Why was I automatically subscribed to an email group?
The Alumni Association may subscribe you to an email group if your interests or affiliations as shown in your profile match the purpose of the email group. If you would like your record modified so that you will be withdrawn from all Infinite Connection email group activity, please send email to help@alum.mit.edu. Please note that doing this will remove you from all email groups you are subscribed to. Also note that alumni cannot sign you up to the lists they manage, they can only invite you to join.
