Honor with Books

The Albir family checks out a book purchased for
the Lewis Music Library in honor of Ana Albir
(2004, Civil Engineering and Physics).

The MIT Parents Association invites you to celebrate your student's achievements at MIT by participating in Honor with Books.

Your contribution of $100 or more to the Parents Fund, designated to the MIT Libraries, will allow the libraries to purchase a book for their collection.

The MIT Libraries—with their vast volumes and archives—are virtually thunderous in their importance to the worldclass institution they serve. The Libraries’ collections provide a crucial underpinning to the world-changing innovations occurring daily at MIT. Yet to sustain the Libraries’ excellence, MIT must capture new knowledge by continually building these collections. The Institute’s expert librarians are tracking the latest discoveries and updating their book wish lists.

MIT will memorialize your generosity with a bookplate in your student’s name. Those who see it will know the book was purchased in honor of someone special, whose own quest for knowledge brought them to this extraordinary place.

Participate today!

Gifts made by parents of graduating seniors before April 17, 2007, will be included in the Libraries' display during Commencement activities.
